Taiwan Indigenous Tribes: Amis

Introduce 4 Taiwan indigenous tribes (Paiwan, Bunun, Ami and Rukai) our British Junior students belong to to everyone!

To know the Amis Tribe!

The Amis tribes live close to the coastal area or the creek. For this reason, fishing plays an important role in the Amis’ daily life. Fishing not only sustains daily life, but also contains cultural meanings. In the Amis society, the doings of fishing or eating fish symbolize the end of an event, such as a funeral.
